A Buddhist man in restive southern Thailand was beheaded by suspected Muslim insurgents who left a note by the body warning Buddhists to leave the area that has been gripped by bloody violence for three years, police said.
The man and his wife were working at a rubber plantation in Yala province when a group attacked them, shooting the man three times in the chest before beheading him and killing his wife, said police Lt. Kittiphong Phuduangjit.

There was another terrorist attack today, on the U.S. embassy in Syria.
Islamist gunmen launched a brazen daytime assault on the US embassy in Damascus, using grenades, automatic weapons and an explosives-laden van in a foiled attack that left four people dead.
Three assailants and a member of Syria’s anti-terror squad were killed in a shootout during the bid to storm the embassy, which came a day after the fifth anniversary of the September 11 attacks and at a time of particularly tense relations between Washington and Damascus.
“The terrorist attack failed. It did not achieve the objectives of the criminals responsible,” Interior Minister General Bassam Abdel Majid said, the state news agency SANA reported.
It described the attackers as “takfiri” or Islamic extremists, although no group has yet claimed responsibility.
While the jury may still be out on exactly who is responsible, I highly doubt they are going to find a Hasidic Jew to be the mastermind behind this ill-fated attempt.

In my earlier post, I explained the fact that all global terrorists who have attacked the United States have been “Islamic fascists”, and Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Insanity) claims that that term has nothing to do with global terrorists fighting the United States. So I thought I would keep an eye out for any non-Muslim terrorists.
This is the first post in my new “Non-Muslim Terrorist Watch” category. The purpose of the category is to keep a running count of every non-Muslim terrorist attributed to attacks throughout the world.
This one dates back a bit, but since they were just convicted, I thought it would be appropriate to see if they were non-Muslim.
Four family members were found guilty Tuesday in the first verdict in the prosecution of India’s deadliest terror attack, a string of bombings that killed 257 people in Mumbai in 1993.
Brothers Yaqoub, Essa and Yusuf Memon were found guilty of all charges, including conspiracy to commit terrorist acts and waging a war against the country. They could receive the death penalty at sentencing, which was expected Wednesday.
Rubeena Memon, the wife of another brother, Suliman, was found guilty of abetting the attack.
Three other members of the Indian Muslim family were acquitted.
Nope. No such luck.
