New Jersey Brownfield Site Was Stabilized
Along with solving many environmental problems, Key Environmental was responsible for the design and handling the permit for the remediation at a 60-acre former New Jersey industrial site. Remediation actions involved soil, groundwater and potential source material. The remediated site will be used for Brownfield redevelopment, adding to the regions' economic base. Stabilization of DNAPL creates a possible source material land out of a former wood treating site remediated in accordance with the Industrial Site Recovery Act.
Key Environmental Inc Made A Seaboard Site Ready For Beneficial Reuse
Utilizing beneficial reuse of treated dredged sediment, Key Environmental Inc remediated a former coke plant and by-products processing site. Now being redeveloped as a "brownfield" site, the transformed site helps the industrial economic base in the local community. Key Environmental Inc designed a physical barrier to DNAPL and groundwater migration to the adjacent river and capped the site to minimize infiltration and groundwater flow. They also enhanced the natural attenuation of contaminants in groundwater, which also eliminated a potential exposure pathway. Key Environmental Inc also obtained necessary permits for this complex remediation and redevelopment project.
