Cadmium Tainted Glasses

Heads up people. Those adorable drinking glasses from McDonald's can kill you, or at least make you really sick!

Around 12 million Shrek drinking glasses were yesterday recalled by McDonald's because they are covered by a toxic paint.

The glasses, a promotion for the latest Shrek film, were available in the U.S. in four designs depicting the characters Shrek, Princess Fiona, Puss in Boots and Donkey.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission, which announced the voluntary recall, warned customers to stop using the glasses – which have the metal cadmium in the paint – immediately.
