Yucca Mountain Dead?

Hallelujah! If there's one good thing that has come out of the Obama administration, it's this.

“This is a major victory for Nevada,” Reid said. “I am pleased that President Obama has lived up to his promise to me and all Nevadans by working with me to kill the Yucca Mountain Project. I look forward to continuing my work with the President and his administration to find responsible, alternative solutions for dealing with nuclear waste.”

I never agree with Harry Reid on anything, except Yucca Mountain. Good on him for making sure The Big O (not Oprah) kept his word. I think it may be the first time since he was elected.

Now maybe we can focus on treatments for Mesothelioma or something else important, that might actually save lives instead of endanger them.

I just wonder if it's really dead this time.
