I almost forgot to post about everything going on this weekend.

Here are some links which tell you chronologically what happened this weekend.

It started with

Head Up – Eyes Open – Freedom To Speak,

which led to

An Open Letter To Kathleen Fasanella

and

Kathleen Fasanella Incubates More Than Fashion.

Then, some links were found on delicious, which were detailed in

Kathleen Fasanella Has Crossed The Line.

Just as I thought things were going to get back to normal, another delete key is pressed and

Kathleen Fasanella And Her Fashionable Dogpiles

was written to finish things off.

Is it done now? Who knows. I did learn one thing this weekend, though. Every time a delete key is pressed someone in the apparel industry learns a little bit more about their peers in the industry.

The OxiClean guy…

Television pitchman Billy Mays — who built his fame by appearing on commercials and infomercials promoting household products and gadgets — died Sunday, FOX News confirms.

Mays was found unresponsive by his wife inside his Tampa, Fla., home at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Tampa Police Department.

Police said there were no signs of forced entry to May’s residence and foul play is not suspected. Authorities said an autopsy should be complete by Monday afternoon.

Mays, 50, was on board a US Airways flight that blew out its front tires as it landed at a Tampa airport on Saturday, MyFOXTampa.com reported.

Rest In Peace, Billy.

How much longer will it be until we are made to be the laughing stock of the international community? While many people in our country worry about what car they’re driving, or where they are going to purchase their equestrian apparel, the rest of us are worried about the direction our country is taking.

No, I am not saying that buying a car or owning horses is bad, just pay attention. That’s all I’m asking.

President Barack Obama signed the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act in to law today. So what is the purpose of this law?

The new law bans candy and fruit flavors in tobacco products, and it limits advertising that could attract young people.

The Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act also allows the FDA to lower the amount of addiction-causing nicotine in tobacco products and block misleading labels such “low tar” and “light.” Tobacco companies also will be required to cover their cartons with large graphic warnings.

The law won’t let the FDA ban nicotine or tobacco outright.

Quick quiz.

01. Name two tobacco products you have seen in the last 90 days on television. (You do not have to include any products which contain candy or fruit flavors in your answer).

02. Name two tobacco products you have seen in the last 90 days in print. (Once again, you do not have to include any products which contain candy or fruit flavors in your answer).

03. Name two tobacco products that you know of, which contain candy or fruit flavors.

Exactly who is this law really going to protect?

Bueller? Bueller?

Before too long they’ll be regulating the production of office furniture because you know, those chairs can spin awfully fast and you might actually be productive while sitting at a desk.
