Coffee is a serious subject in our home. My wife is an avid coffee drinker and I have been known to enjoy a good espresso every now and then. Our coffee pot never gets a rest. It’s on from the time she wakes up until an hour after she goes to sleep (it has an automatic switch).

Before we got married I had a small espresso maker that did the job, but died quickly because it could not handle the stress of making me espresso every few hours. I am a programmers. Programmers love code. Writing code requires caffeine, I don’t care who you are. Anyway, that machine just couldn’t cut it.

I love experimenting with my espresso too, mixing things and making new flavors. But it has to be strong. Strong enough to put hair on your chest as my grandmother used to say. That’s why I have been looking at Capresso brand espresso machines.

I’ve gone too long without a good cup of homemade espresso, so once I get a steady paycheck again, I’m sure that new Capresso machine will be found at the end of my island in the kitchen.
