Disappointed

I am not going to go into details tonight, but tonight's presidential press conference was disappointing. It had nothing to do with policy (although the policies announced in the last 64 days have been nothing short of appalling). It had nothing to do with the bailouts. I was disappointed because our president looked like (and sounded like) an ass tonight.

I know, fans of the president will come unglued because I said that, but bear with me. Our president should be well-prepared, well-spoken, and well-disciplined.

I lost count of the "ums" and "uhs" during his speech (let alone his responses). I can't believe, with the staff he has, that he was not more prepared for the press conference tonight, and I can't believe that he seemed to ramble and not answer many of the questions posed to him.

For the past 8 years we heard all about President Bush's "Bushisms" when he made up words that never really existed, but at least the man spoke coherently when answering questions. Sure, he may have given the run around in his responses as well, but at least you weren't interested with a dozen "ums" while he gave you the answer.

I am so disappointed. When Barack Obama was elected, I knew it was going to be different and things might get bad. I never had any idea that different and bad would arrive less than 2 months into his term.
