As I mentioned before, my car insurance policy is up for renewal at the end of the month. Over the course of the past few years I have made sure to review my policy, research the latest news from the insurance industry, and of course, obtain updated insurance quotes for the coverage I want.
It wasn’t always like this though. From the time I learned to drive until just a few years ago, I was a customer of the same insurance company. I never had a reason to change, until they decided that 20+ years of loyalty needed a $300 surcharge added to the bill. The increase was ridiculous to say the least, so I started looking around.
Simple research saved me that $300 (every six months) as well as an additional $150. While you may get tired of hearing me blather on about it, it really does pay to do your research and get updated quotes when your policies come due.
