I honestly don’t know how to begin this post… It’s rare that I actually “know” anyone I post an obituary for.

I never met Lisa in person, I never talked to her on the phone, I never communicated with her one on one. But felt like I knew Lisa. I followed her life adventure each day over at Clusterfook for quite a long time. Her strong will and love for her family kept me coming back every day to find out what was happening next.

She has fought cancer three different times. A strong woman with a hell of a lot of determination. A wife to Dude. A mother to Teenie and Cam. A friend to a lot of people.

Lisa lost her battle with cancer tonight. She will be missed terribly, and my thoughts are with her family during this difficult time.

Rest In Peace, Lisa.

  2. I hear you on this; I was the same way… never really knew her in any way except I followed a bit of her blog. She will be missed greatly. Rest In Peace, Lisa.

  3. I never met her, but I knew her online, as did a lot of us.

After I was Dx with melanoma, I looked for anyone with cancer who was blogging. I read and read, there’s a lot of us out there with cancer.

I have one correction to the posting—she did not lose her battle with cancer, she just moved on to a difference plane. Cancer only “wins” when we no longer fight—and personally, I’m going to fight as long as I’m alive, as do I hope everyone else touched by Lisa continues to fight against cancer.

May her memory be a blessing.
