Joe Rodgers Dies

Joe M. Rodgers, 75, the U.S. ambassador to France from 1985 to 1989 and one-time head of an international construction company, died of cancer Feb. 2 at his home in Nashville.

Mr. Rodgers was long active in Republican politics, especially fundraising. He was national finance chairman for President Ronald Reagan's 1984 reelection campaign and finance chairman of the Republican National Committee for three years beginning in 1979.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Helen Martin "Honey" Rodgers; two children; and eight grandchildren.

Rest In Peace, Joe.
