You Have Your Game, I Have Mine

Lately my plate has been pretty full. I work all day at the day job, eat dinner, spend some time with the family, then do some work for the night job. When 1 a.m. rolls around, I close everything I am working on and play some games.
Everyone needs a place to unwind and relax, and lately, my place has been in the online backgammon world. I have always loved backgammon, but I haven't had much time to play for quite a few years. As the political season picked up steam I needed to find something to do that would take my mind off everything and when I discovered that I could play backgammon online, I was in seventh heaven.
I have never really been into 'video games', but being able to play a game of backgammon, online, with another human being is pretty cool.
Backgammon is like a bike. Once you learn how to play backgammon, you never really forget. Although I did need to spend some time brushing up on my counting and other strategic skills again.
It's nice to have an escape from the real world where everything seems out of control at times. I just wish I wasn't as rusty as I am, so I could win a game now and then.
