Sphere: Related ContentMany people have been affected by the economic downturn. People from all sectors of the workforce are finding themselves looking for work, or worrying that tomorrow may be their last payday.
Oh sure, the economy has had a hiccup, and things could get pretty abd, but things are not nearly as bad as some employers want you to think it is. I’m sure many of them are using this downturn as an excuse to make the cuts they wanted to make irregardless of the economy.
For some, this might be the perfect small business opportunity. Depending on how much you have to invest there are several different options you can choose from.
If I had $10,000 to $20,000 I would look into a franchise opportunity in my area because, even though the economy is struggling right now, it’s the perfect time to get into the business and put a solid foundation underneath a new growing company.
My brother-in-law is the smart one when it comes to business opportunities and marketing those opportunities. If anyone could start a Florida franchise it’s him. Me? I would love to give it my all up here in Georgia, and you never know, it could happen.

First and foremost, we need to know where a candidate stands. We need to be able to trust that the next President will be capable of making difficult decisions and we need to have the confidence that those decisions will be made in the best interests of the American people.

A cause of death was not given for Reiner, who was married to comedian Carl Reiner for nearly 65 years. She also appeared in “Fatso,” directed by Anne Bancroft, and in Mel Brooks’ “To Be or Not to Be.”
Like many families across America, we spend our days waking the kids up, feeding them, getting them ready for school (even though we do homeschool), feeding them lunch, and then dinner, helping them with their reading or aother assignments, and then finally, putting them to bed.
When the time comes each evening, when all three kids are settled into bed, my wife and I “escape” the pressures of our day with television. My wife loves the old movie classics, and I love network television programs. I always have.
Thanks to our digital video recorder, I am able to watch several different programs during the week. I try to catch some of them when they air, but because my job, and my interests and hobbies keep me at the computer so long, I find myself “catching up” with the dvr.
As a blogger who focuses on a lot of political topics, I have election fatigue. My wife isn’t as enveloped with politics like I am, and she is fatigued.
The last thing we are going to do tonight is stop everything and tune into the Barack Obama Infomercial.

Sphere: Related ContentChances are the winner of this election won’t be the one most Americans want in the Oval Office, and that’s a shame, because whether we are Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, or Independent, we should be voting for the candidates we want rather than voting against the others we don’t.

On Friday, a judge made a ruling that we, as citizens do not have standing to uphold the U.S. Constitution. You should read this. I can guarantee you, the judge did not rule that we as citizens have an automatic right to gift baskets.
Our Constitution is a living, breathing document which sets forth the guidelines by which all of our subsequent laws are based. We know who writes the laws, who passes the laws, and who interprets the laws, but exactly who has standing to uphold our Constitution? Is that a power limited to the courts, our Congress, or our President? Shouldn’t we, the people, have the right to question the constitutionality of a matter? Apparently not.
