The Broken Knife Pear

We've been canning our butts off around here.
Right now, in our kitchen, we have 15 dozen jars filled with all the yummy goodness we bought at the farmer's market, and we still have apples and potatoes to finish.
I ha d a slight mishap with the pears though.
It's not everyday that you break a knife while slicing a pear. I'm sure glad we have the apple peeler. With all the apples we have left to do, I could end up losing al lmy knives.

Well, better the pear than you! That must be a well used knife to break off in a pear…..
