Test Pattern #89: We Got Nothing

Posted by Slobokan @ 12:57 · 142 words · print

When Congress came back from their five-week recess, Speaker Nancy Pelosi promised they would discuss energy on the House floor and there would be a vote on energy this week. She lied.

The first week has passed and there has been no debate, no discussion, and no vote on American energy.

Amid protests from Republican House memebers on Thursday, the Democrats in the House voted to adjourn rather than work on an all-of-the-above energy solution. When they come back Monday, they'll have just 10 days to work on energy before Congress adjourns for the remainder of the year.

The American Energy Act would solve our energy problems, decrease our dependence on foreign oil, and put more money in our pockets. Instead, thanks to Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Democrats, we got nothing.
