When Flash was diagnosed with cancer, among other questions, the specialist who examined him asked us which dog food we were feeding him. I suppose they have to ask those kinds of questions to try and figure out the “how’s and why’s”.
After giving looking over his x-rays and giving him a good physical once over, the specialist made several recommendations. He suggested putting his bed near the door downstairs, so he wouldn’t have to climb the stairs with his bad leg. He recommended putting him on an holistic dog food, which would be easier for him to digest. He covered all of the options from amputation to chemotherapy.
It all seems like a blur now, all the talk, all the recommendations, and all of the tears. I can’t believe it’s been over five months since Flash went on his walk with Jesus, I miss him everyday.
Since Flash passed on, we now feed Stitches nothing but natural dog food because we just don’t trust the other brands and what they may be doing.
