If you hadn’t heard already, WordPress 2.6 was launched just a bit ago.

Yes, I have already upgraded this site (currently in the process of upgraded my other sites), and everything went fine. Another great one-button upgrade for WordPress. Does life get any better that this?

Oh, and this post was written using Stuffr, as usual, and as you can see, there are no problems interfacing with WordPress 2.6. Those of you upgrading will have no issues, as the API connections are automatically enabled for you. If you are doing a new install, you will have to turn on the API functionality, which was very smart of the developers to do.

While it may not look like it, there are quite a few changes to the code. In fact, they haven’t gone so far as to change everything but the “kitchen sink” but apparently they did change the bathroom faucets.

Now pardon me while I update my other sites.

Update [01:45] : All of my sites (and my wife’s) have been upgraded. So far so good.

    2. Glad the upgrade went well for you. I’ve read quite a few blogs in the past couple of day where individual entry links don’t work, tags and categories are gone, etc.

    3. Oh wow. I think I would die if all of my categories disappeared. Maybe not here, but on Tinseltown Trash that would be really bad. I wonder why some people are having issues while others seem to have no issues at all. I suspect specific plugins might be causing the problem? Who knows.

    4. Hi
I must admit when this was released I was a little sceptical, but after using and building quite a few blogs for customers, all I can say is well done WP, slowly upgrading the rest of our customers sites

      Keep it coming
