Throwing The Perfect Party

The flury of birthday activity is finally over. Around here, we have three birthdays in a matter of two weeks, and two of them involve very anxious young boys who look forward to "outdoing" each other when it comes to party planning each year.

Each of the kids are allowed to pick any theme they want and then we help them find all of the party supplies they need to throw a great party.

Over the course of the past few years we have had parties with themes such as killer whales, heroes, pirates, construction equipment, Cars (the movie) and many, many others. This year, however, our oldest threw us for loop when he decided he wanted to have a "House" birthday. Yes, House, the tv show.

We panicked. Where on Earth were we going to find all of the party supplies for a "House" theme? The panic did not last long when we realized that any medical, hospital, or doctor theme would do.

We lucked out this year, but they are already talking amungst themselves on what type of party they want next year. I can only hope it involves items we can find fairly easily when the time comes.
