The 5-year-old daughter of contemporary Christian music star Steven Curtis Chapman was struck and killed Wednesday by a sport utility vehicle driven by her brother, authorities said.
The girl, Maria, was hit in a driveway on the family residence Wednesday afternoon by a Toyota Land Cruiser driven by her teenage brother, said Laura McPherson, a spokesman for the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
McPherson said no charges are expected.
"It looks like a tragic accident," she said.

Maria Chapman/Joy/peace/Love
To steven Chapman Family
Her life started about 5 yrs. ago-stumbling in her flow.
Born in a world you wouldn’t believe-can you imagine an infant never hugged or squeezed.
But yet she lived anyway-watching the shadows of life pass her by each day.
Then one day the shadows stops over you-and what Maria felt was life a new.
They’re hands were warm and strong-the voice tender as she held Maria in her arms.
As she picked her up and said hello-all Maria felt was warm a glow.
And as Maria reached back a friendship began-as this stranger held tight with her hands.
This is the story that came from Maria’s eyes-and as I listened to the story it made me cry.
See 5/22/08, Maria left this world-a beautiful, precious little girl.
She left because, she was finished with what she was sent to do-her death will bring a lesson to be learned by me and you.
It will bring notice to the meaning of adoption in this world-bring attention to the suffering of China’s little girls.
The girls that aren’t wanted because they are not male-Maria’s death was to lift the veil.
See some of us are here for a lifetime, some for a second, a day-they’re life was to help other make they’re way.
God used Maria death-to make us take a look at our self.
To see that girl lying in some dark orphanage or home-laying there wondering, why they are hungry, sick and alone.
Nothing in this life is by mistake-there is reason God gives, and why he also takes.
There are children in this world, that have never been hugged-somewhere lying in a dark crib waiting to show a mother love.
