Jimmy Carter's Peaceful Friends

Posted by Slobokan @ 14:44 · 118 words · print

Apparently Jimmy Carter's presence in the Middle East has already had an impact.

Three Israeli soldiers were killed when troops exchanged gunfire with Palestinian gunmen who were making their way toward the border between Gaza and Israel, just south of the Nahal Oz crossing.

Four Hamas members were killed when soldiers entered northern Gaza in a routine operation against militants.

A Reuters cameraman and two bystanders were killed in an apparent airstrike near El Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

Oh sure, the events occurring over there could be completely unrelated to his visit, but, like the actual amounts donated by individuals to the Carter Center, we will never know.
