Our Trip Didn't Go As Planned

This week we had a little bit extra in the budget, that doesn't happen often you know, so we took the kids down to the local bookstore to let them pick out a few things for themselves. They love heading down there because they know when we walk in the door they get to pick whichever book they have had their eye on, and they know I won't say no.

Our trip didn't go exactly as planned because within moments of arriving at the store a huge thunderstorm hit the area and the building the store is in lost power. The only think you could see were the Photoluminescent Exit Signs but once you got to the door, they wouldn't let anyone out of the building. Not that anyone would have wanted out in that storm.

It wasn't long before a couple of us were talking about the companies that make Self Luminous Exit Signs. Think about it. These guys make something that most businesses need, yet we as consumers just don't think of very often. Smart guys if you ask me.

We finally got our books and made it home safely. One thing for sure though, even though we don't think of them when we walk in most businesses, those Exit Signs were quite a valuable resource when we were wandering around the dark bookstore.
