What's Beneath Your Feet?

While we were cleaning up the house tonight, I mentioned how happy I was that we have hardwood floors throughout much of the house.
Having three kids, and up until recently two dogs running amok in the house, you never knew what you were going to find, let alone step in, in the middle of the night. If we had carpeting in our living room, I can guarantee you that we would have had to have it cleaned at least a dozen times by now.
The only rooms with carpeting are the bedrooms, and boy, they ahve seen their share of spills, with everything from soda and coffee to paint being spilled on them. We have cleaned them ourselves up to this point, but when we lived in California we had to call professional Los Angeles carpet cleaners because the carpet in our apartment was so bad.
In fact, the management company refunded our security deposit and gave us a rental credit because of all the work we had to do in order to make the apartment "livable". There is nothing worse than walking into a room and being able to notice the carpet is dirty. Unless of course you hire a high quality carpet cleaning service, everyone who walks in the room will know your carpet needs help.
Our wood floors offer a quick and easy clean up solution. A tub of warm water, a nice squishy mop, and a little elbow grease. You can't beat it.
