Prepare To Be Stimulated!

So I got a notice from the IRS yesterday, telling me about the economic stimulus package and that I was going to receive another notice with additional information shortly before the payment is sent.

How much did it cost the IRS to send this pre-notice notice? Wasn't that a complete waste of taxpayer money? I think the real notice, telling me how much I will be getting and when I will be getting would have sufficed.

Apparently, if you chose to have your tax refund direct deposited, you will get your stimulus check direct deposited as well. If not, then you have to wait for your check.

You can check the calculator on the IRS website to see how much you can expect to be stimulated. I hope we get enough to buy one of those nifty popcorn machines for our basement. Life this summer will be good if we do.
