I Have A New Obsession – Alltop

Over the course of the past few days I have seen several tweets on Twitter from Guy Kawasaki about Alltop. I bookmarked a couple of the links he posted, intending to visit them later on those days. One thing led to another (aka work got away from me and my days began to run together) and I didn't get a chance to visit the links until this afternoon.

Having several blogs that I run, all focusing on different topics, Alltop is going to make my blogging time a helluva lot more productive. I have over 200 feeds in FeedDemon, and it takes a couple hours each night to browse them and pick out headlines I am interested in reading about. How cool is it, that I can look at quite a few subjects all at one time, all in one place?

When I am looking for strange news for Wonky Socks, I can simply pull up the Alltop "Oddities" page and browse numerous sites and their headlines all at once.

If you haven't seen Alltop, you simply have to check it out, there is no better way to describe how convenient it will be until you see it for yourself. RSS makes it easy to have tons of information brought to your desktop, and while Alltop doesn't feed your reader, it does consolidate all of the top stories of the day, so you don't have to sort through all those feeds after a long day at the office. Now pardon me while I knock out some more posts because I found a ton of new schtuff over there.
