Payday Is Depressing

I just got done paying all my bills today. It seems lately that payday is getting more and more depressing. No matter how i work it, the money I make at the day job, along with the money I make on the side, is barely just enough to cover the bills. How does this happen?

We don't live an extravegant lifestyle. We actually live very modestly, yet I never seem to be able to get far enough ahead to make a difference. For the six months leading up to Christmas I put aside money explicitly for Christmas, so we wouldn't have added expenses around that time. Sure enough we still had added expenses.

Now, it's not so bad that I have to look into any Debt Consolidation Services but you never know what's going to happen down the road. Life has a way of throwing you curveballs, and if you don't dodge them just right, they hit you right in the wallet.

A friend of mine just worked out all his debt with a Debt Settlement Company. He ended up paying about 34 cents on the dollar to settle several debts. I know those types of services help but I hope I am never in the position to need them.

I only have a couple credit cards so managing my accounts is fairly simple. If I cannot pay them off each time (which happens often) I always pay more than the minimum due, so it's all good. There are several places out there that focus on Credit Card Debt Elimination and if I am ever in that position, I won't hesitate to call on them.
