One Laptop Per In-Law

When my wife came home from the mother-in-laws house tonight, she brought a brand new shiny red iPod Nano with her. It turns out the MIL bought it for my brother-in-law, but he already had one, so she decided to keep it for herself. Starting tomorrow I am going to re-install an old HP laptop, all I need is to find a place that sells laptop batteries at a low price then I can make sure it has everything installed that she needs to surf the web, send/receive email and most importantly buy music through the itunes store that she can sync with her iPod.

When I looked at our two older HP laptops tonight, I noticed a hinge has snapped on one and it needs a laptop screen repair before anyone can use it. It's not too bad, if I was using it, but I don't want to send it to her house in that condition.

In the 13 years I have had a laptop, I have never needed laptop repair, so it's quite a shock that I need to get this one fixed. I can't complain though, 13 years is a long time to go without needing anything for them… My desktop systems, however, are a totally different story.
