Local Forecast Wrong Again

As usual, the weathermen were wrong again. Last night they warned us that we would see heavy thunderstorms and possibly tornados beginning at 3pm this afternoon. During the lunchtime news, they told us the same thing, only that the storms would be coming in around 10pm.
I always chuckle as these meteorologists sit at their office desks trying to predict the weather. A science that no one has perfected, ever. I don't think they ever will.
One school district even cancelled school because of the possible heavy weather coming our way.
So what happened? Well, I am sitting here, with the backdoor open. The rain started around 8:30pm, the temperature is 61 degrees, and the rain is still falling lightly. We've had a total of four cracks of thunder with this so called "strong thunderstorm". No, I am not sorry it wasn't severe, but you would think after all these years of doing the weather, that someone, anyone would get it right, just once.
To be fair, it does look heavier north and south of us, so maybe we were just lucky.
