A Flashback In The Present

Now I have done it. I was flipping through the channels the other night, and I saw a movie on that I had not seen since the mid 1980's. I can't remember the name of it right now, but it was about a couple of kids who enter a breakdance competition. It was a cheesy movie, the problem is, I didn't remember how cheesy until I started watching it.

By that time, it was too late, because the kids saw it. Add to that the fact that our oldest son asked for the Footloose soundtrack for Christmas, so I made sure he got to see the movie as well. Of course, in the final scene of the movie there there is a kid who drops to the ground and begins to breakdance as well. Now two of the boys want to learn how to breakdance. Oy.

Because of their new interest (aka obsession) we found a site called Click2Dance, that has a large selection of videos available. It's pretty cool too, because they have instant downloads available as well. Since we are not the ones squash the interests of our kids, we're probably going to let them choose a breakdance video, that is, if breakdancing keeps their interests for more than a day or so.
