I've Set A Deadline For Myself

My satellite company comparison still continues. My post last week generated three new email responses that pointed me to more information about the differences between Direct TV and Dish Network. I have to say, I am becoming more and more "disenchanted" with Dish, since I have had numerous issues with my dvr, and they keep telling me it's my problem. How do they know? Have they sent anyone out to look at it? No. Have they asked me to go into detail about the issue? No. They simply cut me off everytime and it's getting annoying.

Directv Satellite is looking better and better, at least from my standpoint. I am in the boonies, so cable is not an option. I have no choice but Direct Satellite TV or Dish. Period. Unless of course, I want to watch the "over the air" networks available way out here in the sticks. If I did that I would have the choice of four channels 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I don't think so.

Anyway, I have decided to set a deadline for my decision. By January 31st, I will decide whether or not to stay with DISH, which seems to be ignoring me since my "contract" expired earlier this year, or to go with Direct TV, which looks very attractive from outside their box.
