Promoting Your Blog
Earlier this year I decided to get some business promotional items made up, to promote all of my blogs. Six months ago I decided I would try and bring in some additional income through blogging. I have tried various ad programs, paid blogging opportunities, and even some direct advertising offers. My hard work paid off, as I was able to purchase a new computer, monitor, additional hard drives, and several other pieces of much needed equipment.
The extra income has been nice, as I have also been able to take my family out to do more with the extra funds at hand. Deciding to have promotional business items made really paid off. Oh sure, dropping your business card from time to time might bring in an occasional regular vistor to your website, but printing up a few t-shirts with a logo and my web address had the most noticable effect on people.
If you intend to make money blogging, in addition to all the normal ideas, like placing ads on other sites, etc, and having a catchy domain name, I highly recommend developing at least one business promotional item to get your web address seen by as many people (not sitting at a computer) as possible.
