Oh What A Season

What a Christmas season this has been.

First, I broke a tooth when I was up in Maryland, before Thanksgiving. The problem is I just didn't know it yet. I found out the hard way, during the first week of December when the tooth began to abcess. I had the tooth pulled on December 19th, my birthday, and all is well now though. Or at least getting there.

I don't remember much about a great portion of the past two weeks. I don't know if it was the tooth pain, or the painkillers, but something had an amnesic effect on my brain.

One thing I can't forget though, was the day I hung all the Christmas lights outside. As usual, we hung all our
Christmas Lights and decorations on the day after Thanksgiving.

I have long rows of lights on each side of the driveway and all across the front of the yard, from property line to property line. This year however, on top of everything else, about 1/2 of the lights did not work. When I packed them all up last year, I only kept the ones that worked. How did half of them "die" when they were not even used for 12 months? Who knows.

Next year I am thinking of going with LED Christmas Lights. Since it seems I am going to have to replace at least 50% of what I have anyway, I might as well invest in some that are going to last more than one season.
