Is It Time For Home Security?

Until recently I haven't given any thought to installing Home Security Cameras outside our home, but with the latest developments in the area, I am beginning to think it's a good idea.

You see, last year our neighbor's car was stolen, then just a few months ago, another neighbor's car was vandalized. When I traded in my GMC Envoy we noticed scratches on the passenger side that could only have gotten there if someone scratched the vehicle on purpose. All of these events alone still would not lead me to installing a home Security System, but something that happened just last month still has me thinking.

Our neighbors' house was broken into, in broad daylight, while someone was home. How bold are people getting that they feel safe breaking into a home when there is clearly someone home? If it was just a break in, when no one was home, I would not worry, because we are usually here most of the time, but since the break in occurred while someone was home, I have been toying with the idea of installing a Home Security system. I know it wouldn't help prevent the break in, but having a couple of cameras on hand and a security system in place to warn us if it did happen sure would make us feel more secure.
