Have A Safe And Sane Holiday Season

I don't know what it is, but I love candles and incense, I always have. Most of the people in my family love them to so I guess it runs in the family. I learned a long time ago, however, that I am really bad with candles. I would always forget that I left them burning, and that can be a very bad thing.

Right before Halloween, we were shopping at a local craft store and happened to see some LED Candles on the shelf. I thought it was a crazy idea, but for some reason I wanted to see how they worked. I could have all the flickery goodness of a candle, without the risk of flammable objects catching fire (which is a necessity when you have three boys like we do).

The Battery Operated Candles were awesome in our Halloween pumpkins, and since then the kids have been using them in their rooms at bedtime. The candlelight seems to calm them down, and we don't have to worry about any fire hazards.

Now, before you start, I know you don't get the aroma from LED Candles like you would from a candle, but the company that makes them also makes wax led candles that actually smell like a real candle. How cool is that?
