Storms In The Northwest

Posted by Slobokan @ 12:29 · 114 words · print

I just got off the phone with my dad, who lives in Oregon, and all is well in his area, but most people were not so lucky.

Downed trees blocked roads and power outages were widespread Tuesday across much of the Northwest, where residents prepared for a massive cleanup effort after being battered by back-to-back storms.

A severe storm smacked the region Monday with hurricane-force winds and several inches of rain, and was blamed for four deaths. It came only a day after another severe system moved through Sunday.

Something tells me there will be a mad rush to find new real estate shortly. People have a way of reacting that way.
