I’m Not Such A Senstive Guy Anymore
For years now I have had extremely sensitive teeth. I never really focused too much energy on going to the dentist. In the past, I just didn’t have the time, and now with three kids who all need their own dental care, I just haven’t had the money. I know, it’s no excuse, but heck, it’s my excuse.
The sensitivity in my teeth started about 7 or 8 years ago. I had a bad toothache. My dentist told me the tooth was beyond repair and referred me to an oral surgeon. When the oral surgeon got done with me, I was missing three teeth, and what felt like half my jaw. Ever since that day, all of my teeth have been extremely sensitive to anything hot, anything cold, and just about anything in-between.
I recently received a sample of Biotene Senstive toothpaste, and I must say, it has helped dramatically. I wish Biotene had been around (or that I had known about it) years ago. I have tried other “sensitive” toothpastes before and they all seemed to work for 5 minutes, but they just seemed to mask the problem rather than help solve it. Biotene has made a dramatic difference though, as I can now eat ice cream or drink hot coffee without it killing me.
The first thing that’s different about Biotene, is the taste. It isn’t minty like other toothpastes, in fact it tastes sweet, and reminds me of a bubble gum I used to love to chew when I was a kid (which probably helped lead to the teeth needing to be pulled in the first place). The second thing that was odd, is it didn’t foam. Most toothpastes foam up as you brush, but Biotene doesn’t.
Biotene leaves my teeth feeling clean, and fresh, and best of all, after using it for the past week, my teeth are far less sensitive than they were before. When it comes to sensitive toothpaste, I won’t be using anything except Biotene from now on.
