When you attempt to act like God, things like this are bound to happen.

An Italian doctor who aborted a healthy twin by mistake and the obstetrician who performed a sonogram ahead of the bungle are under investigation for negligence by a Milan court, a report said Tuesday.

The operation, carried out in June, was intended to remove the other twin, who tested positive for Down’s Syndrome.

The foetuses reportedly changed places after the sonogram and before the procedure.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Who gets investigated when the “defective” child is aborted? Who gets prison time when the sick child is killed? What makes one life more valuable than the other?

Abortion is legal, does it matter which baby they killed? I guess it’s only a problem if you don’t have enough compassion in your heart to love someone who’s not perfect.

  2. This is AWFUL!

But the answer to your question “does it matter” is simple really (heavy sarcasm) “A person is a person only if you WANT them to be.”

How far are we from applying that charming viewpoint to the already born as well? I’d say, not far at all.
