I'm Taking The Rookie Challenge

When it comes to fantasy games, I suck. I have tried them all. Fantasy football, fantasy baseball, heck, I even tried fantasy hockey. I suck as much at virtual sports as I do at the real thing. I thought, when I could play fantasy NASCAR that I had it made, but it made no difference.
When my grandfather was alive, I used to follow the stock market. I've never actually invested though, except through my 401k plan at work. I used to keep track of "investments" with a notebook. I would follow the market each day, with my grandfather's advice, and I actually did pretty good for just playing around.
Today I discovered MyWallSt.net, a financial social netork for those interested in investing. They have a fantasy investing game called the rookie challenge where winners can earn real money, which means I am trying yet another fantasy game. How could I resist?
In their fantasy game they start you off with $100,000 in fantasy money. You invest that fantasy money into real stocks and each week, the person who made the most, percentage wise, wins $1,000 in real, hard, cold, cash. I am soooo there. What? Why are you laughing? Oh sure, it could be like all the other fantasy games I have played, but this one works with numbers and watching the market, so I may just have a chance.
Which me luck. I could become the next Wall Street tycoon.
