Georgia Voter I.D. Law Upheld

In a shocking move, a federal judge threw out a lawsuit challenging Georgia’s Voter I.D. Law.

In a ruling issued Thursday, U.S. District Judge Harold Murphy declined to issue an injunction suspending the law and also dismissed the case.

The plaintiffs failed to prove that the 2006 law’s photo ID requirement unduly burdens the right to vote, Murphy ruled.

I can hardly wait to go to the polls on September 18th and show my i.d. (like I have every election for the past 10 years) and vote. I bet we won’t hear of a single person who was “burdened” by trying to vote.
