I Am An American Idol Junkie

I can hardly wait for American Idol to start up again. I know, I am an addict, what can I say? Each season my family and I plant ourselves in front of the television to see the crazy auditions and the awesome talent. We love to watch and see who is brave enough to face the judges, who can really belt out the tunes, and who will ultimately win the title of American Idol.

I have enjoyed every season of American Idol, but I would be lost without all of the different websites, forums and chat rooms dedicated to following the show. There are a great number of fan websites, prediction sites, discussion forums, as well as adult and teen chat rooms all dedicated to the phenomenon known as American Idol.

I was a bit disappointed last season, because I thought a number of people shouldn't have made it as far as they did and a few of them didn't make it as far as they should have. I would have stopped watching it, if not for the forums and chat room conversations I took part.

Each season, I always make sure my bookmarks are updated so I can visit the websites that track the calls that came in the night before and predict who is going home, I double check that I can remember all my forum passwords, because heck, you don't want to get caught not knowing some of the stuff they cover, and then I visit all the chat rooms dedicated to the show to see if there is any "pre-season" gossip I should know about.

I know, I get a little carried away, but I really love the whole concept of the show, and each season is just different enough (and it usually has it's own scandal), so it's always new and exciting.

We're still four months away, but I can hardly wait for the auditions to start, they are almost as entertaining as the competition itself.
