Wow, I totally spaced doing my monthly stats post. I don't know if it was the unrelenting heat this past week or the fact that I just plain forgot, but here it is…

Let's take a look at the stats for August.

The top 10 referring blogs (other than Technorati, StumbleUpon, and BlogExplosion) for August were:

The Soda Stand
Musing Minds
Sugar Ray Dodge
ISPN Media
Right Wing News
Flopping Aces
Tinseltown Trash
Electric VenomCharlotte Wyatt
Blogs For Fred Thompson

The top 10 search terms that brought people here in August were:

hope for miners (may they rest in peace)
hamachi service (highly recommended)
warren savage (anchor turned junkie)
merv griffin (may he rest in peace)
toy recalls (check those toys)
free passwords (haha gotcha again!)
john couey sentencing (may he rot in hell)
mary winkler (she's been released you know)
castleberry foods recall (they had this one in the can)
natalee holloway (still missing)

The top three search engines sending traffic my way were Google, Yahoo! and MSN.

The busiest day of the week was Thursday. The busiest time of day was 10:00pm EDT, and the busiest day of the month was the 16th.

Internet Explorer usage rose from 58% to 60.7%. The record low is still 52% set in August of 2006. I still recommend Firefox over Internet Explorer.

The top ten countries (after .com, .net, and .edu domains) for July were:

China (.cn) ** Still not banned I guess
European Union (.eu)
Canada (.ca)
Australia (.au)
Great Britain (.gb)
Japan (.jp)
Netherlands (.nl)
Hong Kong (.hk)
Italy (*.it)
Brazil (.br)

*spammers from Russia resulted in Russia being disqualified this month.

The top ten individual pages people came to see (excluding the main index and rss feeds) were:

Fisher Price Recalls Toys Made In China*
Running Hamachi As A Service
Noise Heard In Mine*
Castleberry Foods Recall: The Entire List
Warning, Don't Trust Blogkits*
Troy Gentry, Bear Hunter
Baby Bibs Contain Lead*
TB Andy Questions The Motives Of Possible Victims
Merv Griffin Isn't Doing Well*
Major Pet Food Recall

* Five of these posts were written during August. The record for posts in the top 10 from the most recent month is July 2007 (with 7).

The top ten category pages were:

News Link
Natalee Holloway
Obituaries
Eldritch
FYI
Rotten Stuff
Topical Events
Bloggage
World News
PSA

And now for the numbers.

I had 11,425 unique visitors, over 359,762 page views, over 751,048, the average stay on the site was 2-5 minutes, and you helped me burn 24.55 GB of bandwidth.

Thanks for stopping by!
