Billy Graham Hospitalized

Evangelist Billy Graham was admitted to a hospital near his home Saturday for evaluation and treatment of intestinal bleeding, hospital officials said.

Graham, 88, was resting comfortably Saturday afternoon, said Merrell Gregory, a spokesman for Mission Health & Hospitals in Asheville.

Graham's doctors said his condition did not appear to be life-threatening, said Graham's spokesman, Larry Ross. He estimated the ailing preacher could be released from the hospital in a couple of days.

The hospital said in a statement that Graham's condition had stabilized.

"The bleeding is not continuing," Ross said. "It stopped as quickly as it began."
