My Aunt Could Boogie

One of my heros growing up, in fact for most of my life, was my Aunt Beep. Her real name was Minerva, but I called her Beep. I was in 2nd grade when I broke my left femur and she would visit me after hours (against the rules) at the hospital. She would beep, like a heart monitor, as she came down the hall so I knew she was there. Then, when the nurse disappeared for a few moments she would quietly slip into the room. I loved my Aunt Beep. She was, what many would call, a character.

For instance, she used to go down to the beach and hang out with all the young guys and surf. She even had her own custom made pink surfboard. She would absolutely love a shop like The Surfboard Warehouse. They will make your custom designed surfboard to order. Oh man, she would hyperventilate at the thought. Not only could she design the board, but she would have her choice of future fins, fcs fins, or speed fins.

I can still see the sparkle in her eye when she would talk about her "surfer" days, and to this day I wish I would have had the chance to surf with her.
