Scratching The Itch Doesn't Help

Our middle son has eczema that usually rears it's ugly head at various times throughout the spring, summer, fall, and winter. Yes. Like most people afflicted with eczema he suffers at random times all year long.

We first noticed it when he was a baby. He would crawl on the floor but drag one foot kind of sideways and it developed a rash. At first we thought it was carpet burn but it turned out to be eczema. As he has gotten older, the rash develops in the same general area on his foot and on part of his leg. His pediatrician has always prescribed a steroid cream, which doesn't always work all the time.

We worry about using the steriod creams all the time, and have been searching for an alternative. I am thinking about ordering some Champori Eczema Natural Remedy from www.champori.com. Their site offers a lot of information for those suffering from psoriasis and eczema and they seem to have a proven track record where natural products and remedies are concerned.

At $25.85 for a jar of their anti-eczema cream I wouldn't be spending much more than I already do for the steroid cream, and it is all natural, free of perfumes, non-allergenic, and best of all, steroid-free! I hope the day is near where we can finally say good-bye to our son's eczema, once and for all.

My oldest has eczema too. Unfortunately if it's left alone it will eventually scar and later it can progress in to psoriasis (which my niece has). Right now we just use Cortizone 10 and it works fairly well. I just don't like that it takes a day or two to get it under control. Please let me know how the stuff above works – whether it works fast and brings excellent relief. It may be expensive but if it's an excellent product then it'll be worth it. :)

Maybe you should also consider the type of clothing he wears?
We had the same kind of problem until a nurse friend of ours suggested we buy some DermaSilk Therapeutic Clothing that has been specifically designed for eczema patients. It was the best advice we ever received and its completely changed our lives. No more scratching and itching and the skin has almost healed completely.
Take a look at http://www.dermasilk.co.uk for details.

    Bridget,
I used Champori cream and spray with great success: it cleared my plaque psoriasis in just under 3 weeks. No relapses since (a year now). I consider is pretty fast.

I've also tried the DermaSilk Silk underclothes on my daughter. her eczema was pretty bad all over her body and she was scratching all the time. if she sat on my knee watching TV she would even try to scratch me! Night time was horrible – we were up at least half the night with her and my husband was not performing at work because of the broken sleep. 4 weeks of Dermasilk and she's a changed character. Scratching reduced and maybe 1 broken night in 3. Steroid use has dropped big time too.
They might have cost over $100 but money well spent!
