The Good Old Days

Way back in the day, when I had my sandwich shop, the worst part of running the business was dealing with all of the paperwork. Oy. Everytime I hired an employee it added so much more to my workload, that I eventually scaled back so I didn't have so many employees to keep track of. I know, it sounds funny, but I absolutely hated the paperwork part of the business.
If I had known about companies like the Axis Group, I could have kept a few more employees and kept my sanity intact as well. The Axis Group would have handled all of my Payroll Services needs, which would have freed me up to keep a closer eye on the front of the store, which would have been a godsend at the time.
One employee went so far as to cut himself one day at the shop. Hmmf. I can't tell you the headache I had with Workers Compensation. It all ended good though, he had no nerve damage, and I didn't pull out too much hair trying to complete all that paperwork.
One thing the Axis Group provides services for is Employee Leasing, I had no idea that even existed. To be honest, I am not even sure how that would work, but it sounds great to me. I wonder what happens when you go over your mileage with them though? Ha!
My days of running a sandwich shop are long gone, but I'll never forget what a headache it was that's for sure.

The links in that last post really all just point to the Axis Group. Another example might be Vanguard Services has been leasing logistics personnel spanning six decades. The company's specialty is comercially licensed truck drivers with CDL's, though Vanguard also support a wide range of warehouse operations with forklift certified drivers, and other levels of logistics personnel. In Employee leasing, whether for truck drivers or other staff, it is possible to allow the employee leasing company to take over existing employees, those already working for a company, allowing the leasing company to be responsible for workers compensation, unemployemnt insurance, tax payments and reporting, discipline and the whole recruiting, advertising for employees, background checking, and hiring. Watch out though, some employee leasing companies are co-employers, which can result in a very tangled legal engagement if there is any employee issue which arises. The employee leasing company that acts as a sole employer, the employer of record for its staff, truly takes on the responsibilities which relieve the client company of the burdens and challenges of personnel management.
