Just A Swingin'

For the past several years we have been trying to figure out what to do with our backyard. We only have 3/4 of an acre, but the way our house is situated on the lot, we have over 1/2 acre in the backyard alone. We've given thought to a bicycle path, a putting green, and a gazebo. Truth be told, we have room back there for all three.

This year, we built the kids a new "fort", which also doubles as a gazebo of sorts, and we all love spending time out there. In fact, our vegetable garden is right next to the fort, which makes it even more fun when we head out to see what's ripening on the vine.

Other than expanding our garden over the next few years, we can't decide what else to do with the yard. We've been looking at the Cedar Store and their large patio furniture selection and we're thinking of putting a nice patio set under our upstairs deck, so we have a nice shady spot to sit in the summertime.

I know Gidget would really like a porch swing out back, and I know she would absolutely love the Rustic Porch Swing they have listed on their site, but she may just have to settle for an American Sweetheart Porch Swing instead. If I can figure out how to get one without her finding out before it gets here.
