Last week, my wife mentioned on her blog that her step-brother's family has been inundated by rain and flooding where they live, and recommended that he move his family to the Austin area. That might not be such a bad idea.

While the real estate market seems to be drying up in most places, the market for real estate in Austin Texas has actually been increasing and his prospects for finding something in the area are very favorable.

I looked at some houses in Austin tonight and I was blown away at some of the deals I found, the area seems to be pretty hot where real estate sales are concerned. Too bad I'm not looking to relocate myself.
