I Just Gave The BugMan A Piece Of The Pie

Two days ago the exterminator came to do our annual termite inspection. When we purchased this house, four years ago, it came with a termite bond and all that fancy stuff.

Of course, the termite bond was paid for, but the annual inspections set us back $125 each time. So what do they do for that $125?

They knock on our door at an ungodly hour of the morning. They inspect our garage. They walk the perimeter of the house, outside. They walk the perimeter of the basement, inside. They remind us what to look for with subterranean termites. They tell us to remember to keep our grass cut low beside the house, and then they hand me the bill.

You can't be too safe where termites are concerned.
