My Goal Is To Be Debt Free

I hate credit card debt. It seems no matter how much I try to pay, my balance never really goes down. Sometimes I think they plan it that way so you will be in debt to them forever. With this in mind, I am hoping that taking on a few extra small jobs will help me pay those balances off completely within two years. Once I get them out of the monthly budget, things won't be quite as tight as they have been in the past.

A few years ago, my wife was able to get a student loan consolidation which helped us pay off her student loans quite quickly. I wish the rest of the credit industry was as easy to work with as the student loan industry. They worked with her to make sure she got the plan she needed the most, that benefited her the most. If other credit types worked with the consumer as intently, I would have confidence, and peace of mind, that I could conquer the mountain of debt standing in front of me.
