Two Years. Two Hacks. Two Bank Accounts

You just gotta love banks.
Twice in the past two years, my checking account (and debit card) has been hacked by someone in Germany. Two different card numbers, two different hackers. What are the odds? At least my savings account has been left unscathed.
The first time they hit my account, I noticed a strange withdrawal that could not be explained. I simply called the bank and they froze my account. A new debit card was issued that day, and other than the 7 days delay waiting for the new card, all was well in the world. My bank went above and beyond throughout the entire ordeal.
The second time I was not so lucky.
When they hit the account the second time, they did enough of a whammy that I couldn't touch the account for several days, and I ended up switching bank accounts completely. With all the technology in the world today, you'd think someone could perfect a system to stop this from happening. It only makes sense if I purchased gas in Georgia at 3pm on a Monday, there is no possible way I was drinking beer in Berlin, Germany at 7pm that same Monday.
I don't know if these guys just couldn't get bad credit bank accounts or what, but I never want to see a charge from Germany on my statement again, unless of course, I just happen to be on vacation over there sometime in the future.
