I Discovered Thoof Today

Have you checked out thoof yet? As a news junkie I love it when the news comes to me and thoof does just that.

Earlier tonight I signed up for thoof and immediately had a page of news to read. Unlike sites where you vote on a story, thoof allows you to get rid of those stories you dont want to read by simply clicking "not interesting". At that point thoof begins learning what you like and what you don't like. Heck, I know some people who have been married for 20+ years who can't do that. It won't take thoof long at all to learn your likes and dislikes and pretty soon you won't see any of the news that doesn't interest you. Awesome huh?

Thoof uses a collaborative filter so the community as a whole has a chance to shape the stories offered. If you are looking at your homepage and realize that a summary for a story is wrong or the tags are incorrect, you, as a member of thoof, can edit those features yourself. The community then votes on your changes as they view the stories too. If enough people agree with your change, it becomes a permanent part of thoof. How cool is that?

I love thoof because it offers me personalized news that I probably woudn't see anywhere else in my online travels. I read quite a few news feeds everyday, so that is definitely saying something.
