Forecast: Summertime Showers

In a little over a month, I will have been married to my beautiful wife for 10 years. We met online and got married at 1 o'clock in the morning on Labor Day in Las Vegas. I asked her during to marry me (for the 1,000th time) during dinner that night and she finally said yes, but only if I married her THAT day. You can imagine the shock on her face when she realized that the wedding chapels and the clerk's office were both open all night, even on holidays. You gotta love Las Vegas.

Needless to say, we got married that night, and the next year our oldest son was born. We now have three kids, and my beautiful bride never had a bridal shower or a baby shower.

Now, a friend of ours is expecting her first baby and Gidget insists on throwing a shower for her and yours truly will be footing the bill.
